Open Learning Centre

The Open Learning Centre offers flexible and affordable computer training that enables clients to progress at their own pace & in their own time. A new client can discuss their goals with a tutor and set up an individual training plan to meet their needs. Training is delivered through the use of easy to follow manuals, which include frequent revision exercises, to reinforce learning and build confidence. Tutors are on hand at all times to answer questions, provide support and offer guidance throughout the training process. Sessions are pay as you go and by appointment only. 1 Year part-time BTEI Course leading to 4 QQI Level 4 Minor Awards (Suitable for adults wishing to return to education)

Successful students may progress on to QQI Level 5 Courses within Crumlin College or other Colleges of Further Education. Upon completion, candidates may also seek employment within the administration sector.

We currently offer a PRE-ECDL Course which is suitable for Beginner / Intermediate learners who may progress on to ECDL. It is also useful for clients or students wishing to practise their computer skills.

ADULT BASIC EDUCATION CENTRE

Many adults would like to feel more confident about their reading and writing skills. Our part-time courses are designed to help adults improve their reading, writing, spelling and maths. They are available mornings or evenings weekly. Both one to one tuition and group tuition are available. Tuition is availabe to suit individual needs and times.

ADULT EDUCATION GUIDANCE SERVICE

The Adult Education Guidance service, based in Crumlin College, aims to provide quality educational guidance to adults in the Dublin City South West region. This includes impartial adult educational information; one-to-one guidance and group guidance which will help you make informed educational, career and life choices. The service is free of charge, informal & confidential. The CDETB Adult Education Service is a city-wide service providing a variety of learning opportunities and supports to assist the increasing number of adults returning to education.
